Full Description
TR 36756927. Cropmark of possible barrow. (1) RCHME AP shows poss. barrow at TR 3677 6925 and a ring ditch at TR 3676 6926. (2)
Cropmarks of a partial ring ditchwith a diameter of 23.4m and adjacent pit visible aerial photographs: NMR 2116/0096 01-JUN-1982 and mapped as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024.
The pit was mapped as part of an earlier survey RCHME Kent NMP project undertaken in the late 1980s. This survey was sketch-mapped using NMP Conventions. N.B. It is likely that this particular feature has been misidentified as a mound (see 2 above) where the loose stipple for a large macula cropmarks has been mistaken for the compact stipple used for positive features such as banks and mounds.
