Full Description
Excavation undertaken by Canterbury Archaeological Trust in 2011, to the north of 290 Warren Road. A metalled trackway, running roughly E-W, dating to the C3 - mid C4 AD was found. This was sealed by a layer of colluvium which contained ceramic building material, suggesting that a building had previously stood upslope of the trackway. A second metalled trackway was then laid down, with this too being sealed by a layer of colluvium containing ceramic building material. (1)
