Monument record TR 36 NE 197 - Cropmarks of enclosures, near Pendell, Margate
Summary
Cropmarks of enclosures in ploughed fields on the summit and south side of a downland ridge. Excavations in 1976 indicated this was late Iron Age or early Roman in date. Four Bronze Age barrows and an Iron Age enclosure [see TR 36 NE 141] were excavated at Millmead Road from 1975-1977.
