Full Description

In 1992 a Phase 2 evaluation by Canterbury Archaeological Trust in advance of a new reservoir uncovered a large pit in one of the trenches. It contained some burnt flint. It was most likely a clay extraction pit, possible from the local pottery of which there is evidence nearby. (1,2)
