Full Description

In 1992 a Phase 2 evaluation was carried out by Canterbury Archaeological Trust and in trench PT2J a pit was observed, west of Vale Farm. In the pit was a small pottery vessel dated 800-900/25 as well as Neolithic/Mesolithic flakes and two sherds of Iron Age pottery dated no later than 70 AD. (1, 2)
