Full Description
In 1994 an excavation on the Medway Tunnel eastern approach was undertaken by Canterbury Archaeological Trust. A Neolithic site was observed. Mid-Neolithic (4200 BC - 2900 BC)flint cores and worked flints were found as well as a few Neolithic pot sherds. A few neolithic features were noticed; a large post hole time feature, a deep pit and some shallow depressions. (1)
