Full Description
In 2010 the route of the Ashford Southern Ring Main was investigated by Kent Archaeological Projects. In Area 5c of the route a Mid to Late Iron Age site was found, including elements of a rectilinear field system. Ditches, gullys and fire pits were excavated, all producing broadly Iron Age pottery. There were also a number of undated fire pits, stakeholes and post holes. (1)
