Full Description
Oxford Archaeology carried out an evaluation at Underdown Lane, Herne Bay. Shallow ditches, truncated by later ploughing, that probably relate to a field system, were found across the site. They date to the Late Iron Age and Roman period, 100 BC to AD 200. (1)
A subsequent excavation confirmed these findings. (2)
