In 2002 the Trust for Thanet Archaeology carried out an evaluation. Two curving ditches, tentatively dated as prehistoric, were found. They were possibly a narrow trackway or field ditches. Only fragments of struck flint and a small scrap of prehistoric pottery were found in one of the ditches. (1)

In 2004 the Trust for Thanet Archaeology carried out a watching brief at the site. Five ditches or gullies a possible pit or ditch terminal and a small pit or post hole were found. Worked flints were found in the features but no other dating evidence. (2)

The cropmarks of two parallel ditches aligned NE-SW set 10m apart and measuring 21m in length were recorded at this location on aerial photographs -Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 14-AUG-2003 and mapped as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024. The site has now been covered by developement (3).
