Full Description

In 2011 Archaeology South-East carried out an evaluation and a strip, map and sample excavation at Haven Farm, Sutton Valence. The earliest features found related to a prehistoric enclosure, an open-ended sub-rectangular enclosure 20m long and 10m wide. It may have been part of a droveway or stock-pen. Two pits are also likely to date from this period. The enclosure and pits were all cut by late Iron Age/Roman features. (1, 2)
