Site identified during transcription of features recorded on air photographs. (1) 1940's AP shows macula and possible pit feature to the NE of original features. (2)

Cropmark of a rectangular settlement enclosure, possibly medieval in date, visible on aerial photographs: NMR 3115/120 02-JUL-1986 and Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 21-APR-2007. The enclosure is ditch-defined, 50m x 36m with internal pits and a possible internal enclosure. Externally there are futher ditches to the south, a narrow annexe on the eastern side and a possible short hollow way/track extending 48m south to the current road from the annexe. A short distance to the east a N-S ditch/boundary in the same alignment may also be associated with the settlement enclosure. These features were mapped as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024 (3-4).
