Full Description

Site identified during transcription of features recorded on air photographs. (1)

Possible trackway visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs : NMR 2137/20 28-JUN-1983 and NMR 2639/3113 01-AUG-1985. This site appears as a curving ditch aligned NW-SE. It may be associated with the large probable Iron Age /Roman settlement enclosure to the north (TR 36 NW 51). A spur of similarly aligned ditch extends SE from this complex, possibly part of the same feature. This was mapped as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024. (2-3)
