The cropmark of an enclosure has been identified near Rose Farm to the north of the Manston Airport runway. This site was identifed from aerial photographs taken by the Royal Commission on the Historic Monuments of England as part of a project to classify cropmarks across Kent. This has been identifed as the remains of a staple enclosure that also shows evidence of pit features. It is however also possible that no pit features are present and the cropmarks shows an enclosure that has been damaged by ploughing.

An enclosure forming part of a settlement of Medieval date was visible as a cropmark in CCC 8503/6039-6043 XX-XXX-XXXX. Two small pits were visible inside the enclosure. These features were mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (3)
