Monument record TR 36 NW 190 - Iron Age settlement, near A253, Manston
Summary
Traces of an Iron Age settlement were uncovered during the construction of the Monkton Gas Pipeline in 1984. An occupation layer c.20m in length and pits were revealed. Amongst the small finds removed from these features were late Iron Age/Belgic sherds, animal bone and shells.
