Full Description
In 2008 Swale and Thames Archaeological Survey Company carried out a programme of works at Neats Court, Queenborough. A large pit or quarry of Late Iron Age/Roman date and a second feature, possibly also a large pit, but potentially a slump of the adjacent Bronze Age barrow mound and also possibly not of Late Iron Age/Roman date. It is not clear what these pits were dug for and their dating is based upon the presence of Late Iron Age/Roman pottery in their backfill. (1)
