Full Description
In 2006 Oxford Archaeology carried out work at the site. The earliest feature located was a Middle Bronze Age pit which contained parts of several vessels. These included a large Deverel-Rimbury bucket urn. A quantity of burnt bones were also found, which were all of animals. Whether these were cremated or the burnt remains of a feast was not clear. (1)
