Full Description

In 2006 Oxford Archaeology carried out work at the site. A number of ditch segments were found across the site that probably formed a field system in the Late Iron Age. (1)

Further excavation to the west located additional elements of this system, coming off from a boundary ditch that could be a continuation of one found on the adjacent site (TQ 67 SW 528). Ditches and post holes were found near to the ditch, and cutting it, possibly relating to associated markers or boundary features. The ditch may have been open throughout the Iron Age and into the early Roman period. (2)
