Full Description
In 2008 Wessex Archaeology carried out an evaluation on the proposed route for a new gas pipeline. Potential pit features were found, one of which contained a Neolithic flint blade. It may have been residual or could date the feature. (1)
One of the pits appears in close proximity to an Iron Age/Romano-British field system, suggesting it could also date from this period. (2)
