Full Description

During Channel Tunnel Rail Link works carried out by the Museum of London Archaeology Service found a large irregularly shaped pit with 12th to 13th century pottery within it. It was probably a marl pit or a chalk quarry. A ditch was also found, possibly a boundary to the medieval route now represented by Church Road. (1)
