Cropmarks of a rectilinear enclosure, ditches and pits of Iron Age/Roman date was seen as a cropmark and was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024.. The site comprises a sub-rectangular enclosure 53m x 62m which tapers slightly to the SW. There is a suggestion of an entrance in the SW side defined on the western side by an out-turned ditch. Partial traces of an annex ditch are visible extending north from the NW corner of this enclosure. Beyond this central enclosure are outer enclosure ditches parallel to the western and eastern sides (with a gap of between 8m and 10m between the inner and outer ditches), the western ditch continuing beyond the NW corner to mirror the annexe ditch. The eastern half of the annexe is obscured by the cropmark of a large later extractive pit. There are the fragmented traces of further ditches and enclosures attached to the outer enclosure ditch. The cropmark traces of numerous pits are scattered across the entire site. Under the NW corner of the site are the cropmark remains of an earlier rectilinear enclosure 21m x 29m which lies on a different alignment. (2-5)
