Full Description
In 2009 Canterbury Archaeological Trust carried out an evaluation. A large pit was encountered across much of the site. Its backfill contained brick fragments suggesting it was filled no earlier than the 18th century and probably later than that. (1)
No such feature is shown on mapping of the site back to the 1790s.
