Findspot record TQ 67 SW 1353 - Palaeolithic flints, Springhead

Summary

In 2007/8 Wessex Archaeology carried out a programme of works. Lower Palaeolithic flints were found in pockets of sand within the terrace gravel deposits across part of the site. Finds included two large flakes, possibly from axe manufacture and a convergent scraper. Location accurate to 10m based on available information
