Summary
A suspected medieval occupation site was discovered and excavated during building work on Kingsgate Avenue in June 1970. The discoveries included two ditches containing 13th to 14th century pottery and also a cobbled area.

Full Description
TR 387 703 A possible medieval occupation site was discovered and excavated during building work on Kingsgate Avenue in June 1970. Two ditches with C13th pottery were uncovered. (1) TR 387 703 Medieval ditches and a cobbled area with 13th - 14th century pot sherds were found in the early 1970's. (2)
