Full Description

An I.A. storage pit was exposed c.1941, in the face of the A.P.C.M's Stone Castle Chalk pit, at TQ 57967400. The pit, circular in plan, was 12 ft. in diameter and 20 ft. deep, and had concave sides. (1) It was not closely examined and was, subsequently, destroyed. (2)
