Monument record TQ 84 SW 19 - Site of Frittenden Road station
Summary
Extensions to the Kent and East Sussex railway system were authorised in 1903 and in 1905 9.5 miles of new track were opened. It is presumed that High Halden road station was in use for the same period as the railway line, and it is visible on the Ordnance Survey 3rd edition map. Unfortunately this route quickly became a liablity and was run at a loss until it was eventually closed in January 1954.
