Summary

A group of post medieval pounds named Wick are depicted on the 1864 Ordnance Survey map. They were situated on Stan Marsh, at the southern end of the Isle of Grain. By the 1896 edition a sheep wash had been added and the named Wick dropped. By 1908 only a sheep wash is named. Nothing is depicted there in 1931. This site was identified as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.

Wick. Marked on 1st, 2nd or 3rd ed OS mapping (1-3) and seen on photographs (4-7).

A group of post medieval pounds named Wick are depicted on the 1864 Ordnance Survey map. They were situated on Stan Marsh, at the southern end of the Isle of Grain and were centred on TQ 8822 7445. By the 1896 edition a sheep wash had been added and the named Wick dropped. By 1908 only a sheep wash is named. Nothing is depicted there in 1931. This site was identified as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.(1-4)
