Full Description

Area B was a portion of the Grain-Shorne pipeline situated on a low hill immediately to the west of Upper Stoke excavated in 2009.

In the Early Medieval period material was dumped into the waterhole, possibly indicating a nearby settlement. A pit was also cut at this time. The pottery of this period suggests settlement in the area and that there was a hiatus of at least 100 years between this and the Roman activity previously in the area. (1-2)
