In 2012 Wessex Archaeology carried out a strip, map and sample excavation on the North Kent Community Church. Two intercut pits were found containing residual material. It was initially thought that it could be of similar date to the nearby Roman pit, however, a medieval tile was found towards the base of the feature. Environmental samples from the pit were similar to those from the Roman pit. (1)

With an overall length of 2.36m and an irregular width averaging 0.85m. To the west the first pit [121] measured 0.69m in depth, with gently sloping sides and a concave base and contained three distinct fills. To the east an intercutting second pit [125] measured 1.11m in depth with a length of 2.32m and width of 1.61m.

Finds from pit 121 included CBM, fired clay and worked flint, fragmented animal bone and burnt flint.

Pit 125 contained animal bone, CBM and fired clay along with fragmented of a small comb, probably made from antler.

Location accurate to 2m based on available information.
