Full Description
In 2006 Canterbury Archaeological Trust carried out a programme of works in advance of brickearth extraction. A number of intercutting medieval ditches were located on the edge of the site. One ditch contained two large deposits of oyster shells. Pottery between the layers dated to the late 11th century to mid 13th century. One of the other medieval ditches contained residual Late Bronze Age/Early Iron Age pottery. (1)
