During excavations in 1971 and 1972 along Seacroft Road in Broadstairs, two linear features including a curved enclosure ditch with causewayed entrance were uncovered. Within this ditch were a number of pits and post holes including two pits which contained inhumation burials. (1)

Fragments of Late Bronze Age/Early Iron Age pottery were found in a gully or palisade trench. This feature was cut by pits containing Early Iron Age pottery. Two or three phases of activity were evident on the site. The site appears to have continued into the Middle Iron Age but there is little evidence for later activity. (2)
