Full Description
In 2010 Canterbury Archaeological Trust carried out an evaluation. A large quarry, made up of numerous intercutting pits, was found. It was quite shallow and may have been dug for chalk rather than flint. The upper fill of the quarry contained Early to Middle Iron Age sherds. Two ditches were also found but were undated. A second, much deeper, quarry was also found but may be of later date, though no dating material was recovered. (1)
