Full Description

In 2007 Kent Archaeological Projects carried out an evaluation. Evidence was found of a Late Iron Age and Roman site. Two probable drip gullies and other features associated with round houses were found. Features contained oyster shells, pottery, bone and burnt daub. A later Roman wall foundation was also observed. A possible quarry was found along with parallel linear features, possibly ditches of a trackway. (1)
