Summary
Site of Second World War heavy anti aircraft battery at The Recreation Ground, Cliftonville. It was unarmed in 1942. A Second World War heavy anti aircraft battery is visible as earthworks and structures on RAF/106G/UK/1378 FV 7047 04-APR-1946. Gun emplacements, a command post and military huts make up the battery complex. The feature has been demolished on the latest Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 07-APR-2021.
