Full Description

In 2005 the Trust for Thanet Archaeology carried out an excavation at Drapers Mills Primary school. A medieval field boundary with an entrance was found. A post hole was found in the entrance gap, possibly indicating a gate post or similar structure. A palisade trench was also found, possibly forming part of a stock enclosure. A sherd of Tyler Hill sandy ware pottery of 14th century date was found. (1)
