Full Description

In 2011 Kent Archaeological Projects carried out a watching brief on a pipeline. A Roman ditch was found. It contained 36 sherds of pottery of the second half of the 2nd century AD. The ditch cut earlier features that could be of Late Iron Age date. Other undated features were also found in the area. A flint metalled area could be of Roman date and might indicate either a trackway or a yard surface. (1)
