Full Description
In 2009/10 Archaeology South-East carried out a strip, map and sample excavation. An isolated large grain storage pit of Middle Iron Age date was found on the western part of the site. Four small pits had been cut around the north side of the larger pit. Middle Iron Age pottery, fired clay and animal bones were found. Further to the west a second isolated pit was found, though smaller in size. It contained three partially complete vessels. (1)
