Full Description

In 2000/1 the Oxford Archaeological Unit carried out a targeted watching brief (a strip, map and sample excavation) ahead of CTRL works. A single ditch was the only feature dated to the Early Iron Age on the site. 243 sherds of pottery were recovered from the truncated section of ditch. A number of undated pits and ditches located nearby could also date to this period. (1-2)
