Full Description
The former site of a Second World War pillbox near Frith Cottage (now Copthorne) on the west side of Dover Road.
It was probably a Type 22 brick shuttered example. It was demolished when the Dover Road was straightened, sometime before 1990. (1)
The area around the pillbox and Frith Cottage appears to have been defended with two possible lines of recently removed barbed wire visible on aerial photos of 1946. Frith Cottage (now Copthorne) could have been modified for defensive use as part of this.
