Full Description
A group of four ring dithes visible as crop marks to the north of Minster in Google Earth images of 2009 and 2013.
The co-ordinates for each ring ditch, starting with the north-eastern ring ditch is as follows;
1. 630349.280502, 166227.890642
2. 630308.931463, 166210.031231
3. 630281.150157, 166152.484241
4. 630223.603167, 166125.364395
They are 23m across and consist of circular ditches with no interruptions. They are roughly aligned northeast to southwest over a distance of 185m. (1)
A ring ditch forming part of a round barrow of Bronze Age date was visible as a cropmark in HEA 29844/50 20-APR-2016. A small pit was visible inside the ring ditch. This feature was mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (2)
