Full Description
Rectilinear enclosures visible as cropmarks in Google Earth image of 2007, to the south of Down Barton, St Nicholas at Wade. It covers an area of 15m by 40m and consists a rectangular crop mark with an opening towards the south side. (1)
An enclosure forming part of a settlement of Medieval date was visible as a cropmark in NMR 26981/33 01-JUN-2011. This feature was mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. Right-angled ditches form three side of the enclosed area, which contains three small pits visible in Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 14-APR-2015. (2-3)
