Full Description

In 2006 Wessex Archaeology carried out an excavation at Kingsborough Manor. A ditch 0.6m wide and 0.6m deep was uncovered on the site. A large amount of mussels, oysters and whelks were found in the ditch. Anglo-Saxon pottery sherds were found in tree holes on the site. Anglo-Saxon pottery was also found in hillwash at the site.
