Full Description
Archaeological evaluation undertaken by Wardell Armstrong Archaeology at Thorne Farm, Kent. Seventeen trenches were excavated.
Trench 6 contained a possible ditch which was excavated towards the east end of the trench, this contained no dating evidence. A heavily disturbed inhumation with associated finds, a small pot and metalwork, was identified with a rough grave cut/reused tree throw towards the east end of the trench. On establishing the remains were human, no futher excavation took place, the skeleton remains in situ. (1)
