Full Description

A number of linear cropmark features were observed north of Minster Farm during a desk-based assessment of the East Kent Access (A256) route. One runs c. 300m north-west to south-east and is intrersected at right angles by another(c. 400m long) running north-east to south-west. Both stop at their southern extent at a third linear running approximatley 300m east-west. A smaller cropmark run c. 50m north and then 70m east west within the larger complex.(1)

During an assessment of the land carried out in 2021 in advance of proposed development, the trackway was linked with the Iron Age/Romano-British farmstead identified through cropmark evidence to the north west (TR 36 NW 87). (2)
