Full Description
A long 'L'-shaped building immediately to the north and north-east pof Table Hall is shown on John Bowen's Plan. Very little has been found out about it. Possibly built between the 14th and 15th century (c. 1377-1430) and added to c 1495-1517, appears to have been another of the increasing number of Lodgings and accommodation of the Prior. The building has a long E-W arm about 130 feet in length and an N-S arm about 100 feet in length running southwards from the north-east corner and seem to have possibly incorporated some early walling within its general build.
After the Dissolution the building was according to the Distribution Document allocated to Prebends. Table Hall plus the western c. 70 feet of the northern arm of the structure was allocated to the Second Stall; whilst the eastern section of the north arm and the N-S return was allocated to the Eighth Stall. The building appear to have been demolished during the 18th century and the site re-developed with what is now Linacre House.
