Monument record TR 15 NE 1282 - Old Porter's Lodge, Court Gate, Christchurch Priory
Summary
The Old Porters Lodge was a small subsidary building of Perpendicular style about 27 feet long E-W by about 10 feet wide N-S, added to the south side of the Great Norman Court Gate. Built by Prior Thomas Chillenden between 1391 and 1411, it was entered by a pointed Perpendicular doorway in the north wall via the Gate Hall.
