Summary

A watching brief was undertaken in February 1954 by Frank Jenkins during ground works by Canterbury City Council on the site of a building demolished after enemy action in 1942. A short alignment and the butt-end of a ditch feature was recorded and 'Belgic' period pottery, burnt flints and much decayed animal bone were recovered from the primary silt of ditch fill.
