Monument record TR 15 NW 1809 - Saxon Pits, 29-30 Watling Street
Summary
Trench I in Cellar A was at the northern end and a Saxon pit was found within it. Cellar B as investigated by the excavation of three small trenches. In Trench I was a Saxon pit and a further four pits were found in Trench II, two were of Roman date whilst two were Medieval.
