Monument record TR 36 NW 1184 - Roman ditch (or ditches) found at Woodchurch, 1999-2000
Summary
During 1999-2000 the Isle of Thanet Archaeological Society carried out a research project consisting of metal detecting, field-walking and excavation. The project aimed to learn more about the site of St Margaret's church, Woodchurch and any related structures. The excavation was aimed at cropmarks but only found evidence of two Roman (or earlier) ditches. It is not clear from the report if these represent two sections through the same ditch or two different ditches.
