Monument record TR 15 NE 1449 - Anglo-Saxon pits and hollow way, St Martins, The Glebe.

Summary

The earliest traces of occupation were a number of rubbish and cess pits dating to the mid to late Saxon period. Trench E also revealed a sunken trackway flanked by a drainage ditch, also probably originating from this time, it remained in use until the 14th century.
