Full Description
Reference from archaeological survey: "Disused late 19th century cattle shed, associated in 1907 with 2 stockyards; some alterations since 1907. Parallel to the barn, on a north east/south west axis, built against the garden wall of the Manor House. Yellow Flemish bond brick with a corrugated asbestos roof, gabled at ends. 3 doorways and 10 windows on the front, most of the doors and a glazing missing. Interior has tie beams roof with iron king posts and wooden struts. Paved concrete floor with drainage channels. Feeding throughs survive; feeding passage to rear (east) behind stalls…" (1)
In 2020, A Heritage Statement was completed in advance of proposed development at Manor Farm Barn, including the conversion of the former farmyard and its buildings into a venue for weddings and similar functions. (2)
